Service beyond mere “satisfaction” !

Half-Day Trips   ~   Full-Day Trips   ~   2  Day Trips

Salmon River Challenge offers the finest raft trips on Idaho's Salmon River. SRC has been in the outdoor recreation business for over 25 years and has a world-wide reputation for complete satisfaction and professionalism.  Join us at Riggins Idaho…the Whitewater Capital of America!   Whether you have a few hours or a week, we have the ultimate whitewater raft trip for you. The "pool and drop" style of the Salmon River offers calm pools between rapids Ride the waves in Ruby, Lake Creek, Time Zone, Tight Squeeze, Trap Creek, Chair Creek and Black Rock… just to name a few!

Our rafting trips are a perfect escape for your family or group. We offer an assortment of high-quality trips with the perfect mix of fun-filled excitement and relaxation for all generations…regardless of experience level.  Whether you enjoy the thrill of crashing through a Class III, or IV rapids, or calmly floating the placid pools, or relaxing at a sandy beach…We have a trip for you!  SRC offers half or full day trips for your family or group.  All trips feature wide array of snacks and drinks, or a sumptuous buffet style lunch or a BBQ Dinner!

With all of our trips you will find modern, well maintained AIRE®, self bailing boats, staffed and supervised by trained and licensed (excitement loving) guides. Our guides are not only experienced (with an average of 10 years on the Salmon River…as well as trained in advanced first aid/CPR and river rescue skills) they are outgoing and will entertain you with stories about the river and the history of this stunning canyon. SRC ensures each trip is of the highest quality possible.  To maximize your comfort and enjoyment, we feature un-crowded boats with more-than-ample snacks and beverages. You can choose between varieties of different raft types for your trip with us. For a more involved experience, we encourage you to try our paddle rafts. Paddle rafts are the ultimate exercise in working together as a group. For those who are not interested in paddling….our oar boats provide you with the opportunity to just sit back and relax between rapids.  And…if our paddle or rowing rafts aren't exciting enough to suit you…kick up your thrill level by jumping into an inflatable kayak (aka…ducky!!).

Each trip begins at our office in Riggins.  Upon finishing your adventure the roundtrip shuttle brings you back to our office so you can you can change from your wet(!) clothes, relax and reminisce over a cold beverage, pick up a shirt, hat or other souvenirs, look at photos of your whitewater adventure, or enjoy a barbecue dinner!
