A Little Bit About Us

We are very honored to be your river adventure hosts. Dee's family (Pat and Shari Marek) founded SRC nearly 28 years ago. We are continuing the Pat and Shari's tradition of excellence (and...yes, we did "negotiate" for most of Shari's recipe's). Both of us feel very fortunate to have received guidance from her parents!  Through hard work with integrity, Pat and Shari have established SRC as a respected Christian Business and Ministry.

Dennis was raised in Grangeville and was blessed to have spent years with his father learning to fish for Steelhead and Bass on the Salmon River.  Dee was raised right here in Riggins (and consistently out-fishes Dennis!)  We did, however, spend several years "moving up the corporate ladder" and lived in Oregon and California.  Several years ago we moved from California to Boise, and then thirteen years ago moved to Riggins. This last move enabled us to help Dee's folks, and to open our own restaurant business, The Blackberry Patch.  Four years ago, we began to help Pat and Shari transition into retirement.

By The Lord's Grace, we have been married for 26 years.  We have two wonderful children, Kaitlin (20) who is a Sophomore at University of Idaho, and Joseph, our 7 year-old 1st grader!! 

Though we have both been Christians since our teens...in fall of 2002 we re-committed our lives to The Lord.  The Lord touched our hearts with the wonderful ministry that SRC can provide to churches throughout the northwest.  We dedicated our business to God, as His business, and place our selves and SRC into his will.  For the glory of God, we will focus on this ministry for of our river trips.

For our previous customers...thank you for your continued support.  We look forward each year to see those familiar faces.  For those of you "meeting" us for the first time...we feel privileged for the opportunity to work with you to provide memories for you, your family and your friends.

How to get to Riggins...the Map!  (Riggins is approximately 45 minutes from McCall, 2.5 hours from Boise and Moscow, 2 hours from Ontario/Fruitland and Lewiston, and 4 hours from Spokane)
