A Little Bit About Us

We are very honored to be your river adventure hosts. Dee's family (Pat and Shari Marek) founded SRC in 1985. We are continuing the Pat and Shari's tradition of excellence (and...yes, we did "negotiate" for most of Shari's recipe's). Both of us feel very fortunate to have received guidance from her parents!  Through hard work with integrity, Pat and Shari have established SRC as a respected business.

Dennis was raised in Grangeville and was blessed to have spent years with his father learning to fish for Steelhead and Bass on the Salmon River.  Dee was raised right here in Riggins.  We did, however, spend several years "moving up the corporate ladder" and lived in Oregon and California.  Several years ago we moved from California to Boise, and in 1995 we moved to Riggins.  During the fall & winter Dee teaches pre-school and Dennis is emplyed by Salmon River School District.

We have been married for 30 years.  We have two wonderful children, Kaitlin is a University of Idaho graduate and a Peace Corps volunteer stationed in Panama, and Joseph, our 12 year-old 6th grader!! 

For our previous customers...thank you for your continued support.  We look forward each year to see those familiar faces.  For those of you "meeting" us for the first time...we feel privileged for the opportunity to work with you to provide memories for you, your family and your friends.

How to get to Riggins...the Map!  (Riggins is approximately 45 minutes from McCall, 2.5 hours from Boise and Moscow, 2 hours from Ontario/Fruitland and Lewiston, and 4 hours from Spokane)
